Cohesion
Social cohesion - Connecting people, building a stronger, resilient community.
Putting people first, fair community representation, Māori wards, cultural hubs, health in hubs, rangatahi voices, wellbeing, ensuring a safe and inclusive city for all.
People are the most precious treasures. The impact of Covid is still very evident in our communities, and with recent political decisions there is more divisive and polarising behaviour. It is more important than ever that we bring people together, connect and show the strength and power of kotahitanga.
As a councillor I launched a few campaigns such as: LOCAL HEROES, to celebrate and acknowledge the incredible volunteers we have in our city; SMILE AND SAY THANK YOU, be nice to those who serve us; PUT YOUR RUBBISH IN THE BIN, let's collectively look after our place.
